Are Chinese companies like Huawei a real threat to a country's IT security or is it paranoia on the part of the United States?

China is engaged in a government-supported cyber war with covenants and companies around the world.

China is engaged in a government-supported cyber war with covenants and companies around the world. Ask any IT security expert from any large company. They have to deal with it daily.

Chinese companies can't sue their government. Every major company in the democratic world does this. No company in China does this.

Xi just requirement china's willingness to take Taiwan by force.

So.

Why would Huawei resist government orders to use their hardware if there was conflict? It would be unethical and illegal not to.

Also, Huawei equipment isn't particularly cheap or good quality. Most of the cost of 5G is in the installation. Nett savings would be about 5 per cent, and then you would have Huawei hardware instead of Samsung or Ericsson. I'd gladly pay that premium for the long-term reliability of better equipment.

So it's not paranoia if you are currently under attack. Like right now. Today.

It's silly to think of large Chinese companies being independent of their government. That arent and they capt be. China does not guarantee the rule of law.

The fundamental problem for big Chinese firms is that they benefit significantly from government support and control but then want to act like they are normal companies when they trade overseas.
